Toyota Winglet Scooter

August 5, 2008

Toyota has shown off its upcoming toys for business users, the Toyotoa Winglet. The Winglet recognized as a vertical mechanised scooter designed for personal use. It seem Toyota want to add more value for urban lifestyle.

The company reckons it will begin testing three different models at select Japanese airports and malls later in the year. Feedback will then decide whether the company goes mainstream. Somehow, I’m not convinced, but stranger things have happened.

The latest news about Korean online games bring new exciting info for the rest of us. Based on user’s feddback, Zemi Interactive has enhanced its own MMORPG online game, ‘4 Story’. Read the press release below:

MMORPG ‘4 Story’, we are going for a strategic war!

Zemi Interactive(President Kim Geun-Chul) has been providing its own MMORPG online game, ‘4 Story’, via its international website(http://global.4story.com) to global users.

There had been feedbacks by users saying that many of the 4 Story’s features are similar to WOW. However 4 Story developers have persistently made progress. Of course, being compared to WOW did some good to 4 Story. WOW could help users better understand 4 Story. As for the differences between WOW and 4 Story, users can learn them by playing 4 Story. Moreover RSCS(Real-time Strategic Command System) or a game system such as regional battles could be only understood by actual players.

Regional battles are fought by two groups every hour that try to conquer a certain piece of land. Users could purchase and utilize variety of items from their nations. Quest NPC is also limited to a region therefore the number of Quest that a user could enjoy really depends on how many regions a nation owns. Battles are similar to MMORPG battles and there is no restriction for users to participate.

RSCS is another excitement that is a decisive factor to battles’ outcome. Regional battles are also called as a ‘Great war between nations.’ RSCS requires a good strategy and leadership of a leader.

During a battle, a leader could give an order to team members by pushing a shift key and clicking a troop on the mini map. That will show on each members’ screen.

This function could be easily used by beginners. However advance users could help those who are not familiar with it by showing Quest items on their maps. And even if a party moves to other places while a party player takes a break, a party leader could click the map to show their recent location to a player who is are left behind.

4 Story’s unique battle system is like a well woven novel. 4 Story novels have been published in Korea which is the first place to service 4 Story. These novels have a great influence on the game’s progress.

Recently the amount of contents of 4 Story’s international version is 6 out of 14 maps. Quest would increase from 1,000 to 3,000 after the development. The existing systems would be provided the same.

International version of the client download ‘4 Story’ and more information can be found on international website of 4 Story. (http://global.4story.com) Users could also download client from Korea Software Promotion Agency’s global service platform, www.gamengame.com.

XTreme RC Hovercraft

August 5, 2008

axon-xtreme-rc-hovercraftThe XTreme RC Hovercraft is built by Axon Racing and after seeing images and a video of the thing… I want one!!!

The RC Hovercraft has no wheels and is lifted by air allowing it to race less then 1 inch above the ground. It can travel at speeds up to 45MPH (which is fast for a vehicle this size). To add to the cool effect of this little “anti-gravity racer” you will find white and blue lights attached to this thing allowing it to be used in the dark, although at 45MPH I would suggest running a tad slower then that to prevent too much damage when you slam in to a wall you didn’t see.

The anti gravity racer is due out in September, so keep checking out Axon racing and you can go ahead and pre-order yours for $274.95 right now by making payment through Paypal over on Axon’s site.

Samsung Omnia i900 Launching Soon

August 5, 2008

samsung_i900The Omnia is the latest challenge for the iPhone. It is built by Samsung and is also known as the Samsung i900. Lets take a look at what it does.

The Samsung Omnia is an advanced mobile phone which has a ton of features packed in. It measures just 12.5mm in depth and has a large touch-screen on the front of the device which has a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels (3.2 inches in size). This allows for portrait or landscape viewing of images, movies, websites and other applications which benefit from a large screen. The exterior of the phone is a sleek black gloss in finish making the mixture of large screen and phone look cool to carry around.

The web browser is powered by Opera 9.5 which makes browsing a lot easier due to the functions built in unlike Windows Mobile which never seem to make IE good enough to want to use over a long period of time. However, the phone is powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 allowing you to make use of the more common applications such as Word, Excel and other various MS Office applications.

On the connectivity and functions side it has A-GPS for satellite navigation. ‘A’ means assisted which makes use of either 3G or a wireless connection to help speed up that first fix time when you switch it on. Navigation software is not included, but this does mean that you can install your favourite application, or use a free one such as Google Maps which works very well as a mapping piece of software. Applications built in include Google Search and GMail response allowing for you to check emails on the go from an application rather then a web page.

Memory wise there is a huge 16GB place to store all your music, videos etc… which is one of the larger memory capacities I have seen on a mobile phone. The Omnia does have a 5 mega pixel camera allowing it to take up a fair few meg per picture. If you do want more variety of music then attach the headphones and tune in to your favourite radio station as this phone can also pick up radio signals making it feature packed.

It seems like Samsung have got it right with the Omnia i900. It has every thing that a fully fledged user might want from a standard phone to a web browser and on to a satellite navigation device. It doesn’t have a keyboard, but it does have a large touch screen which when rotated side ways you can pop up a full QWERTY keyboard on to the screen much like the iPhone has. To help the phone feel more like a regular keyboard the phone gives feedback for every key pressed in the form of vibration helping you to type more comfortably.

By having all the connectivity built in that you could dream of, you should never have a problem getting some kind of signal weather it be using data at speeds of 7.2Mbps, or wifi at what ever speed available there. You should never be left with out a connection to the web and outside world. With the mixture of GPS and Google Search you also get location based searching. Stand in your current spot and search for a restaurant and you will see in the search results the closest restaurants to you with the phone numbers also.

I have to say that the i900 is one serious phone and well worth looking in to as an alternative to the Apple iPhone.
