TrueCall Automated Secretary
October 23, 2008
TrueCall is a device which sits between your phone line and phone. It acts as a virtual secretary to protect you from calls that you do not wish to receive. It works by you telling it what numbers are good and when it answers the phone it immediately allows those calls through. However, if you are unknown to the system then the robot will take over the call.
When an untrusted number calls an automated message is played to the caller. It asks the person who called who they are. When it gets this information it then calls your phone in which you answer. You then have the option to take the call or tell the TrueCall to reject it.
The TrueCall device is available in the UK for £99.99.

Deluxe Marshmallow Gun
October 23, 2008
This marshmallow gun is capable of shooting a mini marshmallow up to 40 ft. It works by putting the marshmallow in the mouth piece and blowing. As it fires the soft spongy things, it makes it safe for both outdoors and indoors.
This version of the gun is named “Deluxe” because it has been designed to look better then the original. It measures 20 inches in length and 12 inches in height.
The Marshmallow Gun (Deluxe) is available over at Etsy and costs $10.

Samsung Pixon M8800
October 22, 2008
Samsung have announced that their Pixon M8800 is due out this month. The phone has an 8 megapixel camera to join the likes of LG and Sony Ericsson. Another feature it boasts is a touch-screen accelerator. Lets take a look at what all that means and what else it can do.
The Pixon M8800 is a very slim phone at just 15.5mm and the camera features that it packs in are just right for you not to need another separate camera in your pocket. The camera has autofocus, a flash, face/smile/blink detection, panoramic shooting, stabilisation making it on par with a similar spec point and shoot. The built in Assisted GPS on the phone also allows you to geo-tag your pictures so you know exactly where each shot was taken. When viewing images you can rotate the phone and the built in accelerometer rotates the screen to suit.
The touch-screen utilises Samsung’s TouchWiz operating system. The screen measures a fairly large 3.2 inches and is capable of displaying 16 million colours. Full HD viewing is supported which I assume is through the TV-Out port. Unfortunately there is no wi-fi, but you do get a 3G handset with 7.2Mbps HSDPA. Mobile phone networks are recently allowing for more data so wi-fi would be nice, but is not as essential as it was a year ago.
The phone has SRS Virtual Surround sound that is normally found in Samsung’s television sets. DivX support is provided so you watch movies on the go. A TV-Out port can also be found so you can hook it directly up to a TV.
Overall it looks like another great phone which supports a fantastic camera and multi media features.

Electric Guitar Volume Ring
October 21, 2008
This ring is built of a bell knob from an electric guitar that is attached to a sterling sliver ring. The main thought behind this amazing ring is to “turn down the suck if you hate something, or crank it up if it is amazing”. The volume knob actually turns (although don’t be disappointed that it actually doesn’t change the volume).
The ring is made in a neutral colour so it fits with most things you will wear. It measures .5 inches tall which is rather on the large side. The actual ring can be custom built if you provide the measurements (takes about three weeks to have built).
Check out the full details over at Etsy.
